The project Ancient Emotions focuses on the interfaces between ancient emotions and significant aspects of the cultures in which their agents experienced, expressed or manipulated them. Through the study of emotions our project seeks to look into the mentailities, ideological premises or the values that characterized ancient communities. The project also emphasizes the role of emotions in ancient approaches to cognition and, more broadly, theory of knowledge.
